I recently completed a shoot at a soup kitchen in Waynesville, NC. I was amazed at how many of the guests had and were actively using cell phones. On a recent trip to Atlanta, my wife and I were panhandled on the way to the local Einstein Bagelry at Woodruff Park on south Peachtree Street. We ordered in and 30 minutes later while we were finishing our breakfast and the Sunday morning edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the guy who asked for alms came in, paid cash for a tall coffee, and took over a nearby table to power up his laptop and sync his iPhone.
Go figure!
